A little history...
I was born and raised in Victoria, BC, and graduated at the top of my class when I earned a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology, after completing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Psychology at the University of Victoria.
In my post-graduate work, I went on to study Interpersonal Neurobiology, a developmental and attachment-based approach to healing that aims to re-establish healthy neural pathways in a dysregulated nervous system.
From an early age, whether it was helping a friend learn to ride a bike, tutoring English to International students, or volunteering on the Crisis Lines, I directed my energy into the helping profession.
Now, with over 10 years of practice, I have honed my craft and coordinated an approach that includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Transformation, Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, among other paradigms and modalities.
In addition to my practice, I am also a group facilitator, writer, and instructor. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).
In 2012, my husband and I moved to Kelowna. We enjoy an active lifestyle both on the lake and in the mountains, and are thrilled to be raising our family here.
